Settings with no twixtor
If I’m not using twixtor on my NTSC project should I still make the final comp 23.976 fps, and the render settings: lower field first with WSSWW pulldown and 29.97 frame rate (as per Marco Solorio’s article)?
I get very confused in general when it comes to rendering my projects.

I am quite sure what your exact question is (is this a generic AE question?). Are you asking if my source footage is 23.976 can I add a 3:2 pulldown simply by setting WWWSS or something in the render settings. The answer is yes, this will still render only 23.976 FPS frames and duplicate 2 out of 5 fields so it plays back at 29.97
