  • Settings for UHD output when using a 1920 timeline

Apologies if this has been answered before.

I have shot in UHD on the new BM 4K camera and grading in Resolve 10. My hardware can’t cope with 3840×2160 on the timeline so I have set it to 1920×1080.

Once I have finished grading I want to “deliver” to UHD QT files so I have set that as the output. Is this the correct method and am I getting true UHD from this?

The file dimensions are correct but I want to be sure that Dissolve is working off the originals and not downsizing and upsampling at the end. I have read about changing the timeline to UHD when it is finished but I get a GPU out of memory message and cannot continue.

    Thanks.

Hi, if you size the source to HD for the timeline, then size the timeline to output UHD, there are two resize operations. It seems though you have no choice as your hardware js insufficient to process the UHD timeline.
