Does anybody know what the best settings are for shooting for slow motion on a JVC HD110 camcorder?

The best setting would be to set the camera rcording format to 720p, at 60 this will allow you to slow down the video by a factor of 3 20%. You can try a higher frame rate for cleaner playback, but you will need more light so try different shutter speed for you taste.

    Hope that helps, happy shooting.

The 110 could not record in 720P60, it can do only 720P30
To be able to shoot in 60, you need to set the camera in 480P60 mode.
The 200 series and above can record in 720P60
