I am editing on FCP 7, exporting a QT movie and wish to convert it to mp4 for clients to watch on computer or tv. I am currently using Encoder. Unless someone can recommend an Apple application to give me high quality which won’t artifact with camera pans and dancing.

    2) How do I get the file to be recognized if plugged directly into the tv or a blu ray usb port? I format flash drive as EXFAT to work on PC as well as Apple.

    3) Is there anyway to embed chapters into a mp4 file – either before output or afterwards?

    4) Also wondering best settings if anyone is using Encoder?
currently use Encoder preset of “vimeo HD preset @ 5mbps”. I have been increasing target and max bitrate to 25 mbps; render at maximum quality and depth. Is this best way or overkill? For 2.5 hour edit the mp4 file can be 35 to 40 gb. What about audio? Should i change sample rate to 48000 (from 41000 preset) as it will be watched on computer or tv?

    Thanks
    Wayne
