  • Settings for Authoring a Blue Ray Disk

My Blu Ray authoring work flow using FCP 7 is:

    1. Export from Final Cut with Current Settings, Chapter Markers and Self Contained
    2. Compressor
    3. Blue Ray Burner using BD-R disks

Are the settings in number one above correct?

    Thanks,
    Dave

What are your current settings? What is your footage codec & pixel aspect? What codec and pixel aspect do you set with Compressor?

I can’t see where you are doing the bluray authoring, setting up menus, audio encoding chapters etc?

If you have Adobe Encore you could take your FCP7 quicktime directly into Encore and have it encode and author plus control the burn to bluray. Otherwise it seems like to are perhaps making a copy of your file to a bluray Rom disk

    Thanks, Michael.
I had not gotten that far.
Not sure what I need to finish the Blu Ray process.
    Is Encore the best option?
I started a new thread asking about the best way to make a Blu Ray with a menu.
