Settings for a DVD re edit to burn on DVD
Hi everyone,
A client has given me a standard definition movie which is a DVD of her company. The movie was made in Nepal and she has non of the original files. She wanted me to re edit the DVD adding some new footage as well as deleting some parts which are not relevant anymore. I managed to eventually import the movie into FCP 7 and export it with no obvious quality issues. Because of this I told her it was a possible task for me to complete.
Unfortunately the movie needs to be burnt onto DVD so she can play it at people homes. By using Compressor and DVD Studio Pro I’ve been exporting different versions but the video looks awful on the TV screen, really pixelated and generally struggling to play. I am fairly new to compressor and DVD Studio Pro so this may be the issue. But can anyone give me any advice please?
Some more info of the footage in FCP 7:
The frame size of the movie is 768 x 576
Apple Pro Res 422 (LT)
Data Rate 4.2 MB/Sec
Vid Rate 25fpsI’m starting to think it may not be possible, in which case I need to let her know asap…
Thanks so much for listening,
Alex
