    Hi,

I messed up my Vegas windows docking area! U used to have tabs in the bottom left corner: trimmer, Media Pool, Transitions, Video FX, Text/Backgrounds. Now there’s just lots of windows and I have to slide everything to see the other window — a total mess!

How do I get those tabs back in the bottom left corner.

    s.o.s.

    1) Hold down CTL+Shift when starting Vegas

    2) Setting Window Layouts

    FAQ from Sony Manual
<<< What do you want to do? Save a window layout Arrange the windows and docked windows as desired. Press Ctrl+Alt+D, and then release the keys. Press a number on your keyboard (not the numeric keypad) to save the layout in that space. Recall a saved layout Press Alt+D, and then release the keys. Press a number on your keyboard (not the numeric keypad) to recall the layout saved in that in that space. >>>

Forgot to mention, I think the initial layout is stored in all the saved layouts (0-9). So you can follow the directions to recall a saved layout, and just select a number from 0-9 (not the numeric keypad)

Thanks so much! I’ve restored that part of it back to normal.

Now my next question. My veg files used to have that capital “V” right before the name of the vile. Now the “V” is replaced by some other type of icon. What has happened? I’ve look on the net and in my manual (found my manual) and can’t find anything on it.
