TV output for AVID occurs when you use AVID hardware, like an AVID Nitris DX, AVID Mojo DX, AVID SDI, AVID Adrenaline, etc. The video output of one of these AVID hardware boxes goes to your TV monitor.

You can’t send a computer signal from your NVidia card (which has a DVI connector) to a regular TV monitor.

But there is the Full Screen Playback feature on software systems. It requires that you use one of your screens as a fullscreen monitor. A lot of modern TV’s have DVI/HDMI inputs, so you could use a Full HD TV for that if you like. And there’s Matrox MXO, at least: so I heard.

But yes…what Bob said. To get an image on your TV you need a capture card. Either the Avid hardware, or the less expensive Matrox MXO. You can’t capture with it….it is output only, FYI.
