I just purchased a Sony BWU-200S Blu-Ray burner. I’m using a Sony HDR SR7 1080i camcorder and Vegas Pro 8 for editing. I’m not sure of the template or Mbps settings to use to render the project. I can see that the recommended setting for MPEG 2 is 25 Mbps and that AVC is 15 Mbps. Also, there several Blu-Ray template choices and frankly I don’t have any idea which one to use. BLU-RAY 50i,60i? I was experimenting with a couple of types, but the program locked up. I have a very powerful Vista based machine with a quad core processor and 4 gigs of ram, so I don’t think that’s the problem.
Also after I figure this out, if I use the “render image only” button, can I then open DVD Architect 5.0 and import and author the project in HD?
If you have some suggestions that might get me pointed in the right direction, I would really appreciate it!
