Setting the canvas for any size?
Posted by Olly Lawer on September 27, 2012 at 8:19 amHi,
I have a banner advert rendered out of AE. It’s 300×250. No matter what I try, I cannot get the canvas to be set to this resolution. So I’m guessing this isn’t possible in FCPX?

Why do you need it in FCPX anyway?
To Share on….?
I do a ton of digital signage in numerous sizes and honestly, AE is fine for finishing. -

To be honest, I don’t really, but was wondering if I could change FCPX to any size. Finished in AE as uncompressed QT in end, but will have a fiddle with other settings in AE.

September 27, 2012 at 12:51 pmYou can bring the clip into the event library then right click and choose edit in timeline. As long as you edit in the event library rather than the actual project timeline, you can keep the custom resolution.

I stand corrected.
But honestly my extent of output is the norm.
Spent too many years doing creative in odd sizes thus why AE comes to mind 🙂
