    Just dl’d VMSHDP trial.

After I set two “regions” successfully, the Region selection on the menu greyed out. (!!!) My understanding was that there could be 99 regions.

Is this a limitation of the trial, or pilot error?

    Thanks!

You can have unlimited regions. The first 99 will show their “number”. To create a region, just create a selection area on the timeline and press “R”.

Yea, I guessing that you didn’t make a timeline selection first which is why the Region option is grayed out. Do as Edward said and make a timeline selection first and you should be all set.

(Thanks everybody for their responses. Sorry for the noob stuff, but this IS the place for it I reckon):

SEE, the strange part is I successfully made two regions. By “timeline selection” you mean the area between the two yellow cursors, right?

OK, it’s possible to move the yellow cursors without actually making the big blue selection.

    That was the problem.

    Thanks for the help everyone!
