  • Setting an IN and OUT on clips

Is there a way to set an in and out point when working with clips in Motion? I’m dropping footage into a “drop zone” and want to use a particular segment of the clip. Motion seems to just start the clip at the head of the clip.

    Thanks,
    Scott

Ok. Very new to Motion. Where within Motion do I set this points? I can’t seem to find the player/viewer where I can input the in and out.

There are a few ways of doing this.

    1) Drop the movie into the media tab, then alter the in & out in the media tab of the inspector.

    2) Drop the movie into the dropzone and then use I/O keys and slip media for timing

Got it. By the way, who sells the best templates for Motion both HD and SD?

    Thanks again,
    Scott

Mark Spencer has just come up with some fantastic templates for Motion.
