Set Up HD Project as SD, how can I save?
So, I shot a short in the HVX-200, DVCPro50 HD, 720p format. I ended up importing the files in the standard def. DV-NTSC 48k setting. I didn’t realize what i did and edited all the way into a fine cut before realizing nothing being exported was HD. I’ve since created a separate DVCPro50 HD project, but am looking to avoid a way of going from project to project, recutting in all the shots. Is there a way around this? Thanks.

You are stating three separate codecs in this workflow…DVCPRO 50, 720p (which is DVCPRO HD) and then DV.

That is not an HD format. DVCPRO 50 is Standard Def…480p. 720P is DVCPRO HD or DVCPRO 100.

How did you import the footage? Because if you shot it on P2 or the Firestore, when you import the footage, it will come in at the same format you shot. You cannot bring it in as another format.
Are you sure you shot DVCPRO 50? Or DVCPRO HD? What did you TRY to shoot and edit?
