  • Set to frame size but fill composition frame entirely…

I’m editing some r3d footage shot in 3k, 4k and 5k and my final output will be @1080

I added all of my footage to a timeline and I quickly want to scale it so I can see the full image, so I use set to frame size, but this results in top and bottom black bars.
Let’s take 4k for instance: it was shot at 4096×2160 which is wider than 16:9, so premiere’s set to frame size results in a scale factor of 46,9, I’d rather have it scaled by 50% making it fill the frame entirely and knowing I still have some room on the sides.

Is there a quick way to do this? I really don’t wanna go through all the clips manually entering the scaling factor…

    Thanks in advance!

Set scale for one clip, Copy, then multi-select other clips and use Paste Attributes

    Thanks

Yep, that’s what I ended up doing.
    Thanks!
