So I created a new preset for my preferred render setting, but cannot figure out how to set it as my default, so I dont have to select it from the drop down in the render queue every time I render..

    Can anyone help?

    Cheers

Add an item to the Render Queue, click the triangle next to “Render Settings,” and then click “Make template.”

From that screen, you can select what the default render settings are for each render type.

The shortcut is to just hold down Ctrl (Cmd – mac) as you select the preset from the drop-down menu, which makes that preset the default.
