Ok trying to make a path from an objects motion.

Object A = Solid that has been spherified.
    Objects B/C/D = nulls

Object A is parented to B, B is parented to C, and C is parented to D.

B is below A, and rotating on its Z axis, making A spin around B. C is oscilating vertically, creating a ‘sin-like’ loop around B. D is oscilating on the Z axis, creating almost a helix-like animation around the center point, B.

So after reading this word problem, (reminds me of two trains — one going 40mph and one going 60mph….) does anyone know how to convert this motion to a path? I have to show the client where the solid has been through either vegas/stroke on a mask.

Have you considered using the Echo effect? Sounds like the simplest solution to me. If that fails, add an expression to your layers (no need to do anything, just use the default values) and bake it using Convert Expression to Keyframes. This will give you your paths as position keyframes and you can copy&paste them to mask shapes. You may possibly have to use toComp() or similar expression logic to get usable data from your parented layers.
