  Set font default color

  Hi folks,

  How do you set the default font color in AI CS2. Every time I select the text tool and click to type, the font color returns to black. How can I change the default so that when I click the text tool and type the font is the color I set? I have to place font characters in many different places and have to change the color from black to whatever every time. It is taking for ever. There must be a way.
