  • SERIOUS FINAL CUT ERROR….with merged clips

I used the media manager to dupe my project onto a new drive. Old drive died soon after. Unfortunately the merged subclips in the copied project are totally out of sync with their DAT tracks. Before I copied it they were in sync. DAT tracks start a couple minutes before they are supposed to leaving the lips way out of sync and a slug of black video. Any suggestions ?

I’ve not had to do this, so don’t know about it being a bug or something… however you do have the original DAT and video files you created the merged clips from I suspect… and as far as I know then, the only fix will be to recreate them I’m afraid, OR…

Have they gone out of sync the same amount? If so could you slip the audio in the merged clips to sync points?
