While using Premiere Pro CS3 I often recieve a message that states, “Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project.”

This ONLY happens when I have a bin open. I am using it like a storyboard. And I can “automate to sequence” no problem. BUT when I change the speed on clips the message comes up and the program closes. I can change the speed of one clip and its fine. But more than that, it closes.

I have only been using the program for a few weeks. I was changing speed and sutomating for a while and then this started and won’t stop. I have tried everything I can think of. I can change the speed within the sequence, which is how I am getting by. But I am really curious why this happens.

I have created new projects and tried new clips. I have leveled it down to only happening when I change the speed. Nothing else.

Have you installed the 3.1.1 update yet?
That’s said to fix a few critical bugs.

    Yes. I have installed 3.1.1.

That is all though. Perhaps there are more updates? I have checked but not found any.

Sounds like you might need the help of the beta
testers and experts over at Adobe’s forums.
(I’d help you but I haven’t the ‘privilege’ of
installing the full CS3 suite yet. I have it here,
ready, just not the time to put our machines out
of action for a few days whilst it installs.)

    Good luck,

We have the same scenario and its really not good. I’m digging throughout the net to find solution but unfortunately I haven’t find anything yet though I’ve tried a few things. I will back here if I find the solution.

Yes! You can do it by yourself!!
