Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Serial number

    Hi

I am installing final cut studio 2 on a imac G5 which has all the correct requirements for the software. The installation has completed successfully and final cut plus all the other additional applications (DVD studio, livetytpe etc.) are now on the mac. However when I try to open any of these applications I have to re-enter my name and the serial code (it comes up with a grey box titled licensing) . I have to do this every time I open any of the final cut studio applications.

I entered the serial code at the beginning of installing all the software. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I stop it?

    thanks

    Ceri

You can search for this topic, we’ve seen it often.
Seems to me you will find that you have two copies of the .plist or FCP registration files in at least two different user account or system libraries. One is trumping the other. Be sure you have your original serial available after you try trashing these files.
Sorry, not on my FCP machine at the moment to tell you where they might be. Search the forum for your error screen content or wait a few hours for someone else to advise.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
