friends, I am relatively new to Premiere.

I have a .WMV video file with me which I’d like to edit.

    1. Is there a way to automatically match a Premiere sequence dimensions to a video whose dimensions or frame rate I’m not sure of?

    2. If the above is not possible, what is the best way to find out the dimensions, frame rate etc of a video and match my sequence dimensions to it?

    Thanks.

In Premiere Pro CS5, you can drag a footage item to the New Item button at the bottom of the Project panel, and it will create a new sequence with characteristics that match the characteristics of the footage item.

    See “Create a sequence”.
