I have lots (~70 hours) of HDV footage I’ve been working with and in order to save space I created proxy files using ProRes422-Proxy codec and scaled down to 720×480.

Now that I’m essentially done editing I’ve created 1080p ProRes422 files for the clips in my time line. I was able to overwrite the old video Proxy video with the new footage open my project and adjust the sequence settings and everything remains unchanged.

I was also able to do the same thing by exporting an XML of the sequence and modifying it to use Footage/1080p/filename.mov instead of the original Footage/filename.mov

Then modify the sequence settings in the XML and achieve the same results..

However, I’m running into a small snag when I go from proxy to 1080p footage but in a 720P time line. Any clip that doesn’t have a scale attribute in the motion tab is automatically pushed to ~66% it scales down the 1080p footage to fit the 720p frame.. However when I do have any key frames it keeps the original values instead of scaling down.. So essentially everything with motion key frames on center position/scale are wrong. Is there a simple way to correct this issue?

I can do the math and correct the values manually by multiplying by ~66% for any key frame value but I’m looking for an automated approach as the sequence is pretty large and I don’t want to miss anything.

    Thanks
    Eric
