Sequence with Animation Settings has Banding Issues.

Animation is an 8b RGB codec, so it have only 255 possible levels per channel. 10b Unc has 1020 levels per channel. The way to avoid banding is going to 16b rendering and 10b exporting.

If you are judging the playback by the Canvas in FCP, this is normal. Final Cut Pro is expecting you to have a proper external television monitor connected for full quality viewing.

Whats your deliverable?

The fcp timeline should never ever be set for animation, it won’t playback in realtime to an external monitor.

I wouldn’t use DV either, thats the last thing you want to do, it will make it much uglier.
