sequence weird audio and dropped frames issue
I have a new issue that I’m stumped on. I’ve been editing native on a ProRes timeline (HDV captured to ProRes) 29.98 Frame Rate 1440 x 1080. A project that I’ve been heavily editing for three days now. My system is 2 x dual core intel with 4GB RAM, and 1.5TB 3 Sata Drives internal RAID. Final Cut Pro 6.0.6…….still on Tiger OS 10.4.11 …….. My RAID is only half full so there’s no space issue, and a Disk speed test was good. okay here’s my issue….. Final Cut just started acting really weird. I play my sequence and the first thing you notice is that the sound is screwed up. One channel will seem to play in real time and the other channel is behind it so there’s a weird echo. I’m also getting the “dropped frames” warning that comes up which stops my timeline in its tracks. I’ve tried everything. Trashed the Preferences…. repaired the permissions…. ran disk warrior…. ran Mac Janitor…. ran Cache Out X….. and it’s still having the problem. First I thought it was just that project, but i opened another project even in SD and it had the same issue. Out of curiousity, I changed my audio output to the macs internal speaker and it still had the problem. So that’s it I’m stumped! Please Help if you can….. thanks
