I am working on a project that I would like to end up at 1024 x 683(the 2:3 aspect of a 35mm slide). It is all still images. Even with 3 Gigs of Ram on a dual 2G processor G5, I have to render every dissolve or edit I make.

Does anybody have a suggestion on how to eliminate the rendering? I have tried everything in terms of turning off frame blurring, reducing rendering to 25% frame size, etc. etc. But it always need rendering if I adjust a dissolve or lengthen a slide.

If I resize the sequence to 720 x 480, I can play and edit and not have to render. Much faster way to be creative. Could I edit it that way and when it is all set, resize it back to 1024 x 683? (The images are that size on beijng imporrted)

    Any suggestions welcome.
