    Sequence Settings

    I have made a huge blunder. I have been editing narrative b-roll on one project and interviews on another project. My problem is that the sequence settings on the b-roll differ from that of the interviews. Therefore, copy pasting these clips on the same timeline give me a stretched out picture on my b-roll.

    Interview Sequence settings…
    Frame Size: 960×720
    Aspect Ratio: HD (960×720)
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: HD (960×720)
    Compressor: DVCPRO HD 720p60

    B-Roll Sequence settings…
    Frame Size: 1280×720
    Aspect Ratio: HDTV 720p (16:9)
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square
    Compressor: Apple ProRes 422

    Is there anything I can do to convert my b-roll into my interview sequence settings? I really hope I do not have to cut the sequence all over again. Please help.

    What is correct? Did you shoot 1280 x 720 or 960 x 720? Once you sort that then copy paste will work if you change the distort settings.

    Copy one of the main interview clips and then highlight the broll clips and Paste Attributes>distort to all clips. Voila, everything back to normal.

    In either case you’d want to edit in the 1280×720 pro res sequence most likely. Your graphics will benefit greatly in crispness.
