Sequence in Timeline is Pointing to Wrong Clips
I have been editing a wedding video for some weeks, and had almost finished when the clips in my timeline suddenly began pointing to the wrong files.
When I try to relink them to the correct files in the Browser – I right-click on the clip in the timeline and choose “Replace With Clip” – I can only replace it with the clip currently in the source monitor. And it just replaces it from the start or from where the playhead is – it doesn’t give me the choice to match the metadata (ie the in and out points).
Is there any way I can fix this, and preferably a whole bunch of clips at a time?
Driving me crazy… any solutions would be super-appreciated.

you need to check the source clip in the project, to see if it is loading the right clip. Else use the relink command to point to the correct material.

This is my point – it is DEFINITELY loading the WRONG clip.

There is no option to Relink. I am on Premiere 6.0.2. A right-click gives me many options, but none are Relink. Further, there is no menu item called Relink.

I guess the Relink command is new with CC. But it is a very strong feature.
In your case I would try to right click the clip, and use the “replace footage” command – then point to the correct footage.

Thanks again for your reply.
As I state in the original post, no such option appears when I right click. The only option I get that comes close to it is Replace With Clip… and I only have the option of replacing it with the clip in the preview window… and even then only from the start of it, ie it completely disregards the in and out points I have set.
It”s insane…

You need to right click the clips in the bin – not the sequence.
