Sequence Audio Set To 32 bit
Posted by Andy Lancaster on March 16, 2009 at 10:12 pmWhy does the audio format for my sequences in the bin say 32 bit floating point if my sequence settings are 16bit?

March 17, 2009 at 11:23 amHi Andy;
This “32b floating point” means that the audio will be processed in 32b Floating Point.
This doesn’t presuppose any sampling rate (32Khz, 44,1Khz, 48Khz..) or bit depth (16b, 24b, 32b,..).

March 17, 2009 at 11:37 amThanks. After I posted this, I found where the manual explains it.
As for video…. If I am editing DVCPRO HD, should I be rendering video in 32bit?

I think there are no options about that.
I think is the correct set-up.
If you are dealing with 16/24b signals you need at least 24b processing.
32b FP is much better. Much more precise rendering.
