Go to Inspector and under audio tab you have Channel Configuration in which you can select which tracks to use.

This can be done in numerous ways with either the master clip in the event browser, or with a specific shot in your timeline.

Option A: Select clip in either browser or timeline and in the inspector, go to the audio tab and deselect the channel you don’t want to hear.

Option B: Select clip in either browser or timeline and Open up in Timeline Mode (right click the clip and choose Open in Timeline). From there select channel you don’t want and either delete it, or make it inactive (V shortcut).

Yep, select the clip with the effects (any effect not just CC) and cmd c and then past effects (alt+cmd+v).

You can save a colour correction as a preset in the CC which is on the bottom left of the inspector window when in CC.

You can also select multiple clips in the event browser or in the timeline and select the audio channels all at once.

I like to select multiple clips in he browser, and turn on the wireless channels only when I’m laying down my a-roll, then turn on the camera mic on my browser clips, and drop the audio level to -20 db to lay down my b-roll.

    Works great.

Another one of my favourite features of FCPX, it did take me a while to get into the habit of doing it though, worth mentioning that if you do this in the browser that it doesn’t apply it to clips already in the project.

That’s right. Nothing applies to the clips already in the timeline. That aggravated me at first, but with the power of the timeline index and a little forethought it works fine, for audio channels, audio levels, roles, keywords…
