We just got rid of our Sennheiser EM 1053-U receivers and replaced them with EW100 receivers. We kept the MKE 2-1053 mics and my question is:

Can we replace the connector with Sennheiser 99112 connectors for the EW100?

No problem. Be sure to use a locking 3.5mm trs plug. The positive goes to the tip and the shield/ground connects to the sleeve. If you have any questions or you don’t feel confident to do the conversion yourself I can do it for you. I also offer guarenteed not to fail G series output cables and G series antenna replacements.

The MKE 2-1053 has a blue wire, a red wire and an unshielded copper wire. Which wire is negative and which is positive?

The red is positive. The blue & the copper shield get tied together at the sleeve for ground.

Thanks so much. I’ve got new connectors on the way.
