Just got the Sennheiser ew 100 G3, with omnidirectional ME2.

And now when I done a test with it, I think it got a lot of noise..

    test1: https://www.zshare.net/audio/84967406b0c3f09f/

    test2: https://www.zshare.net/audio/8496762116b4a3b1/

I have no idea why “test2” got more noise actually..
Both are set to -18 in “Sensitivity” (transmitter) and -6 in “AF Out” (receiver).

What setting should I have to get as little noise as possible?

Use the ME2 sound like this? Does it matter what I record on?
Would buying a better mic solve the problem, will I get rid of the noise?

Sounds like the gain was increased somewhere in the chain on sample #2. In any event there isn’t enough self noise to worry about. OTOH the ME 2 that comes with the EW series are basically give away mics. Get yourself a Countryman B3 or EMW for better sound quality.

The B3 has a similar sound with the added advantage of frequency changing protective caps, more rugged, waterproof & less expensive than a a COS 11. A very good bang for the buck. You can read all about the Countryman line at https://www.countryman.com.
