Sennheiser AVX problem
Posted by Rob Dunford on May 6, 2019 at 7:03 pmI have two of these sets, one with the lav and transmitter and the other with the handheld.
Irrespective of which RX I pair with, invariably when I try to pair they don’t pair and the LED’s flash rapidly with a message on the TX saying ‘remote update’.
Eventually it does pair, but often after waiting a long time. The handheld pairs in seconds.
I have tried to search for this issue, but without luck.

January 21, 2020 at 9:23 amI did. I contacted support And they said a firmware upgrade was needed. The only way to do this is send it in, because I had two units they wanted to be certain it all worked as a package.
So email them or call and send it in, should be no cost. -

Can I trouble you for serial numbers and/or current firmware versions
That might help others.

January 21, 2020 at 3:23 pmHi Ty,
What I have is the handheld AVX mic + receiver and a lapel mic/TX + RX.As you may know, this equipment has very limited display info and I don’t know how to get the firmware (even if one can get it displayed!)
serial nos
handheld mic body: 1265101294
lapel mic TX unit: 1445107246
RX unit: 1185102056
RX unit: 1445108859When Sennheiser returned the units, there was no paperwork to indicate Firmware either.
One of my sets was older than the other and that created pairing issues. They fixed it completely and for free (which surprised me) but then they admitted that since firmware upgrades can only be done in-house then units had to be sent back on a no charge basis.
I was quite impressed by their customer commitment!

March 30, 2020 at 9:53 amI also called the Sennheiser Support. Another solution they told me is to mark the sets.
I have now labeled mine with Set A and Set B.
After one “Remote Update” there is the no more necessary.I have summarized my findings in a video. It speak german, but it is english subtitled.
