Sending HDV Proj to HDV tape
Just need a bit of understanding. When I send a project to tape (HDV), Vegas will render the project first then start the deck in the record mode and start recording to tape?

Yes. The print to tape is down in real-time so the project must be rendered in order to ensure a real-time transfer.
