Selling Avid system-how much to ask?
Hi, I need to sell an Avid Media Composer system, about two years old, and was wondering how much to ask for it. Thank you.

I think you would need to provide more details. Hardware specs and all.

remember, AVID Media Composer software only retails at $2495. The NEW Nitris DX is $15,000 with the software. So you tell me -what is your old AVID worth (like an Adreanline).

While you prolly owe another 10k or so, you may get about 7 for it if the right guy comes along.
As Bob mentioned, they really shot us in the knees with their latest swoop. You’ll most likely keep it as the lable maker when you get a new system.

When you get a new system, you might be able to get a trade-in discount, though. The trade-in discount for my Meridien v12 to Symphony Nitris 1.7 was way more than the actual street value of the Meridien back then.

well yeah, they’ll give ya more than street value when financing something for 3 years worth only the first payment.

It had nothing to do with financing. I just got a trade-in deal.
