So, most every software that deals with anchor points will allow you to selectively select anchor points, either with a selection tool or by holding a hot key and clicking the anchor points you want. Vegas, I’m sad to say, doesn’t have a selection tool for masking (although that’d be a fine addition to future versions of Vegas). The instruction manual says to “Hold Ctrl while clicking to select/deselect multiple points” while in normal mode in the mask. Unless I’m doing something wrong, this does NOT work. The cursor changes to Split Tangents cursor (the upside-down V).

So is there any way to selectively select multiple anchor points? I have a rounded box that would be much easier to resize/move if I could select just one corner (made up of a group of 3 anchor points) at a time.

    Thanks!

This is one time where the manual is wrong.
Make sure the Normal Edit Tool is selected.
Hover over the mask line until the cursor changes to an arrow.
    Right-click and choose Deselect All.
Click the mask again to highlight the points.
Click the first point on your corner, hold down the Shift key and select points 2 and 3, one at a time, by clicking on them.
Click on any one these tree and drag to the new location.
If you don’t click and drag a point (i.e. just drag the line), then you’ll get the tangent problem.
