    Hi,

Here’s my setup: 3 layers. I want the top layer to use the layer blend mode Luminosity but I dont want the blend mode effect 2nd layer, at the same time I want to keep the layers in the same order.
This is probably confusing, so here is a screenshot.

Is there an option to let the 3d layer use luminosity on the 1st only? Or do I have to precomp and mask?

I thought one can only use the above layer as t-matt ?

If the layer you want to use as a track matte is below the layer to be matted, you can duplicate the layer you want to use, put it above the layer you want to matte and parent it to the original (lower) layer.
