selection contains no media
FCP is bogging down on me while I try to get a movie finished. Whenever I compress the video in a sequence, if I go back to that sequence later after making changes and try to re-compress it, the software tells me there is no media selected. Sometimes cutting and pasting the video in the sequence into a new sequence solves the problem, but now even that isn’t working. Where is this coming from, and how can I fix it?

If you’re talking about rendering effects, you need to turn on the appropriate checkbox in the sequence/render menus (render all, render selected etc…
