selected area in the preview window does not show effect
For the life of me I cant figure out how I turned this on but more importantly, I’d like to turn it off. When I highlight an area in my preview screen, Vegas ignores the effect assigned to the event in the highlghted box, so I get the effect outisde the box but not on the inside.
Furthermore, in the process of trying to fix this, I did something which has turned of my ability to see the effect altogether. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

There’s a split screen icon above the Preview window – turn this off.

It’s a FEATURE. Do a search for “split screen preview” in the help file. It can be very useful once you understand what it’s doing.

thanks… instead of turning it off completely I was choosing options within therefore not completely being able to make it stop. Thank you both for your advice!
