I would like to turn off an effect (color) to all the clips in the timeline. If I select all the clips including transitions, it won’t let me quickly turn that effect off. But if I select just the clips (and not the transitions), it will.

Question: is there a way to quickly choose all the clips in the timeline but not the transitions?

    Thx.

Select the clips in the timeline index pane.

But wouldn’t a modifier key to the arrow tool be simpler and more visual? Premiere and Avid work that way. And if I remember right, in Avid, dragging one direction IE right to left, grabs the transitions, whilst the other direction grabs both, etc.
