“Segmentation fault” error message
Have a Media Composer project file that gives me the following message and then crashes each time I open it:
“Segmentation fault” in thread “MainThread”, at address 0x0Another project seems to open fine.
Just consolidated about 50gb of files last night from the project with problems.
(NINJA DNxHD to MXF)I deleted the database file from the Avid MediaFile MXF folder (1) and let it rebuild new ones.
I restarted my machine.Still the same problem.
Hoping to not have to rebuild the whole project from scratch.
On a deadline for a client, of course!!Thanks for any help, advice!

Ok…I *Might* have fixed it.
I seem to remember a similar problem from having “illegal” characters on files on the desktop.I removed the “( )” characters from a file on my desktop, and so far, so good.
