See full composite in pan crop window while masking?
Hey guys.
I’ve been using Sony Vegas Pro for a few years now- I like to think that I’ve got the whole thing figured out, but there’s one thing that’s been eluding me from the get-go… How to mask effectively in Vegas.
To me, it seems like there should be some way to see the full composite, or atleast the layer below the clip you’re attempting to mask. Let me explain.
I’ve got a TIF sequence with an alpha layer on layer one of the timeline, and directly below it is video footage of a window. I’d like to make it so that the flame is only visible on the glass sections of the window, and it seems like the easiest way to do this would be a mask in the pan/crop window.
However, when you go into masking mode within the pan/crop, you only get the checkered background. It would be so much easier if you could just see the image directly under the object you’re attempting to mask- otherwise it’s just kind of shooting in the dark.
Any suggestions?
