Ive been using FCP for a few months now and I must ask: is there any way to get around having to constantly keep rendering changes on my timeline? Is there a setting that will automatically render any items that require it? Having to keep selecting the menu option gets to be a pain after a while…

Any input would be much appreciative!

    Thanks,
    JB

First off, your media settings should match your sequence settings so that when you add a clip to the timeline it doesn’t require rendering. Is that an issue? Or is it an issue with adding transitions?

I have the RENDER menu option mapped to a key, so when I add a transition or effect that isn’t realtime, I press one button and it renders. You can do this with the CUSTOM KEYBOARD options. And use RENDER ALL: BOTH.
