No since a long time Andy.
You can capture directly HDV.IMHO the problems Darren is having are the typical of a fresh installed system with all the HD directories messed up (normally a 30% of “Items out of order”). I think that DiskWarrior or TechTools would be the best medicine.

Rafael; 30%? Nope! According to Disk Warrior, 37% of my files were out of order! Thanks; I just ran the application on the media drive and hopefully that will put it in working order. Wish me luck.

The system is playing MUCH better; thank you!! I downloaded and ran Disc Warrior on the hard drive with the media. I’m waiting for the DVD with the application/OS to arrive. Should I run it on the CPU as well? Thanks.
