  • Searching for content throughout multiple Project Files

    Hello,
I’m coming on as a new editor on a project that has already been worked on by a couple other individuals.

I was told by the producers that there has already been a ‘select reel’ cut down for a specific tape by one of the previous editors but I can’t seem to find it amongst the multitude project files and accompanying sequences inside said files.

I know the name of the referenced content files on the computer. I’m wondering if there’s anyway to do a meta search in OS X to find project files that contain a specific video file either in the bin or in a contained sequence.

    Thanks,
    Dustin

You can open a sequence, and type cmd+ f to find any clips in it which match the name you know, But other than that…
