So sorry if I’m missing something obvious here. When I just tried introducing a “motion menu” and looping it, whenever I preview (encore 1.5) there is a perceptible black pause before the menu restarts from
    the loop point.

Is this “just how it is”, or is there a way to make this join invisible?

    Thanks.

This is just how it previews on your computer. Try creating an actual DVD disc or folders and view that. If you want to go the disc route, I suggest getting some RWs for testing. Or you can just burn the folder structure to your computer and use a DVD program to view it.

The final result on a disc will not be as bad as it is in “preview” mode, but there will still be a slight pause at the loop point. That is part of the DVD spec and you can’t do anything about it. The amount of pause time varies on each player, but there WILL be a pause. I typically choose music or audio to go with the motion menu that can fade down just before the loop point and that fades up at the start. This makes the pause less objectionable.

    Have Fun!
