seamless loop
Hi
I am wanting to create a seamless loop animation of a grapevine – I was kind of wanting to create a vine that looks like it is growing (however I don’t think I am capable of this).
But how difficult would it be to create a loop of a graphic such as this one:

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I think first you’d have to make the image tileable in the vertical direction and then you could use AE’s Offset effect to make it loop.

yep, once you have a tileable image, animate the position of the image so it goes from just offscreen from the bottom to just off screen from the top, for example. then position the end keyframe one frame beyond the length of the animation (this will make the move loop seemlessly. then you can use motion tile to make it 300% longer (motion tile will create duplicates of the image above and below). now you should have a continuous loop.

Looping is further complicated by knowing that, if you have 60 frames in the loop, frame 1 has to look like it is frame 60, not 59. Otherwise you get two copies of frame 59.
