I am wondering if anyone with a fs-700 can tell me if their camera has a noticeable delay on the SDI out? I have been using a samurai blade and a Panasonic monitor and in both cases the image is always delayed from the real action. Maybe I am just noticing this more since I am monitoring audio as well as video and I usually have a audio guy with me. let me know
    Thanks

As long as the audio is still in sync with the video on the monitors, this is a normal and expected consequence of the digitization process that SDI performs.

There is a delay at the sending end as the camera takes all the video data and audio data and mulitplexes, then transmits 1 bit at a time plus error checking and redundancy information.

Then the receiving end has to remove the packet header information, demultiplex the serial signal and send it to the screen raster.

The audio and video monitored and recorded should remain in sync with each other, however.
