    hi there folks,

firstly I’d like to say it’s great to be back using the Avid platform, I’ve been cutting on Avid (software only), FCP and Media 100 for the last couple of years. So this is my first real experience using an Adrenaline based system.

    Anyway…

the Avid at my new gig is set up to output to digibeta with video going SDI and audio going AES/EBU or Analog (XLR), but I was wondering…

    1) why not set it up to send audio and video via SDI?
    2) how would I do that? (does the Adrenaline Box have a software control Panel like a Kona card where you can select how stuff is output from the hardware?)

in advance, thanks for your time and help

All the audio outs are hot all the time. There’s nothing to select. Patch your SDI into the DigiBeta, push the 4 buttons to select SDI audio in, and you should be good to go if your project is set for 48KHz audio.
