    SD to HD upconvert on capture

    We have a Blackmagic HD Extreme SDi card fitted which we use for capturing movies from DigiBeta. We have been asked to uprez a movie for BluRay where only an SD master exists (I know – madness, but hey, they’re the client 🙂

    Can I do an upconvert from SD to HD on capture with this card. Manual seems to infer I can but only gives clues to how. Can someone give me advice or point to a step by step to show me how. We usually capture from within FCP

    Hi.

    I bet you set input processing from control panel SD to HD.

    My digibeta input went away before i could test this.

    Now it is all file based 🙂

    Test this out and let us know?

    Hi

    It’s work well, I have Multibridge Pro and I online a movie that was shut in DV and HD.
    I capture all the DV (16×9 and letterbox) with no problems as HD.
