I’m using Adobe CS4 PPro with my new computer (2.6g Pentium, 6g Ram, 1680×1050 moniter), but when I add one of my finished Standard Definition 30sec Avi spots (Created on my other computer in PPro) to the timeline to watch it, they look really pixelated even though I haven’t added any effects or tweeked it in any way. I clicked the “render effects” even though it has none but that didn’t do anything.

The same AVI spots look and play perfectly in Windows Media player.

Any ideas whats going on here?

    Thanks

I’ll assume that you are not looking at the preview in a draft setting, but in high quality. What does the export look like?

Often, pixelation has to do with a bad interpretation of the pixel aspect ratio.

Where does the footage come from? If you right click on the clip in the project panel > interpret footage, what is it set to?

    Ah ha! Vince,

It was not set to “Draft Quality” but “Automatic Quality” which looked just like “Draft”, once I switched it to “Highest Quality” it looked great.

You’re da man! I don’t recal my older PPro having these settings but maybe I set it years ago and forgot.

Anyway, that did the job, thanks so much man!

    Danny.
